Journler - 2006-10-07 17:25
My Dream App is hosting a contest to find the next great idea for a program for the Macintosh, and asking the Macintosh community to vote on which idea they would like to use. There are a lot of neat ideas, but I think my favorites are HiJack, Portal, & Blossom. An interesting way of getting the Mac community involved is by offering free applications to everyone who votes. I feel they did a good job with this since I probably wouldn’t have voted if it weren’t for this… I received 2 programs so far: Mori and Musicast. After playing around with Mori for awhile, and not being particularly impressed, my brother recommended Journler which I am very impressed with. I haven’t had a chance to use it much, but it is pretty much a journal on your computer. The other great thing about it is that I can use it to post entries to my website, like the one you are reading right now. Another great thing about Journler is that it’s free as compared to the $40 for Mori and it seems to do a lot more than Mori can, at least on my first perusals.
Journler is a Mac program with Address Book, iMovie, iTunes, iPhoto, Mail, and bookmarking integration. It also has great organizational power with its use of smart folders. I think I’m really going to like using it. If you own a Mac and like to journal, I’d check out Journler.
cool. what kind of mac do you have?
i use ye olde PowerBook G4 at home and ye new PowerMac G5 at work.
I have an 20” iMac G5 and a iBook (from school). I love my 20”. The reason you have a baby beside you is because I just had a boy, and I felt like putting his picture there. I may switch it back to gravatars in a little while, but you must see my baby for a little while. :)
