A Day to Remember - 2007-04-19 17:28
April 16th, 2007 will never be forgotten by our nation. Many people were deeply affected by the event. My sister-in-law’s brother lost five friends that day.
But for me, April 18th will be the day that will stick in my mind as well. For one, it’s my birthday, so it’s kind of hard to forget it. But secondly and the event that I will always remember happened in Turkey on my birthday. 3 men were tied up and murdered by 5 men in their late teens and early twenties for printing Bibles and other Christian materials. I knew one of those men. I taught his two kids at VBS two summers ago. I just keep picturing what those men probably did to him, and that he died for doing what he believed was the right thing to do. Printing Bibles and spreading God’s Word.
