Baby Appointment - 2006-08-25 20:22

Baby Zollieimage #2As we have discussed earlier, my wife’s stomach has been growing at an alarming rate. Perhaps alarming isn’t the right word in her presence, but if you see a woman’s stomach growing at the rate her’s has, you may be alarmed. But alas! (I like to use “alas” whenever possible) Alas, I say! Do not fret! Dr. Royal, whom I have not had the pleasure of meeting until today, came into the room we were sitting in at the hospital and the first words out of her mouth (directed at me) were: “Your wife’s pregnant!” (phew, I thought it was something else…)

“WHAT?! Your joking, right? Is that your explanation as to why her stomach has been rapidly increasing in volume?” I responded.

Okay, I’m a liar. You caught me. That is how I wanted to respond as I sat there thinking of all the good lines I could have retorted with. Instead, “Yes she is,” are the well thought out words which escaped my lips.

We were able to get a glimpse of our son as he was measured through the ultrasound which was a lot of fun to see. He is currently 5 lbs 6 oz, and when I heard that, I immediately renamed him (although we haven’t originally named him yet so renaming may not be the best choice of words…) Lawrence Taylor, the great #56 for the N.Y. Giants. That stuck for about 5 minutes. Now it is back to Kylan (or Kylen), Caleb, or Cameron (our top 3 names). We alternate between the 3, although Kylen does get the majority of airtime since that is currently my favorite.

Only 6 more weeks before we officially become parents. We are as ready as we can be, and I’m ready for him to be here. Click on the picture above to see his boxing stance (Keep your hands up, Rocky!) Not bad, I must say. The first picture has some words and arrows so you can understand what you are looking at, and the second one is a clean copy so you can actually see his face. Enjoy!

So glad to hear that you’re both doing well and that he is coming soon. Can’t wait to meet him, whatever you name him. Tell Casey hi for me. :D God Bless

Thanks Heather! We are both quite excited for him to get here. We are as ready as we could be… Too bad I have to go back to school when Casey gets to stay home. Oh well. She does have to go through child birth. :)
