iWeb - 2007-02-08 17:44

I just finished creating a site for my good friend Chris Bear, which you can see at Reach England. I usually hand code everything, but in this case, iWeb seemed like the better way to go, as I wanted to turn the site over to Chris once he went overseas to England. I felt like this might be the best way for a non web person, so that is what I did.

Using iWeb was actually a little difficult for me as I am used to doing everything on my own without a program doing it for me. It was difficult not being able to go into the code of the page and add something here and there, or tweak something else. I wanted to easily change the size and layout of the header at the top of the page that is used for navigation, but there is nowhere that allows to edit the html. Even once the file is exported, it isn’t visable.

I used it to save myself time, and in the end, I don’t think it really did. The only attractive thing about it for me was that I can pass it along to Chris and he should relatively easily be able to pick up on how to keep it updated without having to come back to me each time. Time will tell…
