Kylen Comes Home - 2006-09-24 21:03

Wow. It has been a crazy past few days. Just a little background for those of you we aren’t able to see every day (and who haven’t know what was going on). Kylen’s due date was Oct. 6. Casey had been going in every Friday for her weekly checkup and Sept. 22 was the last one she made it to. We knew there was a chance that she would have progressed far enough along to be induced, but Casey wasn’t very comfortable with that prospect. She wanted things to just happen. She prayed that the decision of whether to be induced or wait it out would be very clear (ie. her water would break before her appointment, or she wouldn’t have progressed in her dilations.

It was made clear when we were in the doctor’s office and after spending time talking, hooked up to the contraction machine, and talking a bit more, we found out she was 6 cm dilated! Time for the hospital. We rushed over there and 7 hours later, Kylen was born!

For those of you who haven’t gotten enough of Ky, here are a few more pictures. For those of you who are tired of them, just be thankful we live in the digital age where you can choose to look or not to look instead of having me shove a wallet full of pictures in your face and you having to act like you think he is cute… :-)

No, I don’t remember when I came home but I remember YOUR first day home from the hospital. It was exciting but a bit scary.

These pictures are TOO cute!! This child gets cuter every day. I especially love the boys ‘watching’ the football game in true Williamson fashion. That bed is TOO huge for him… put him in a drawer!

We can never get too many pictures. I know two grandmas and grandpas who will keep looking at them. Keep them comin’.
Love, Nana

Thanks everyone for the kind words. We are doing well and are enjoying getting to know are little boy. Nights aren’t easy, but they aren’t as bad as I could imagine they could be.

Mom – He likes his ginormous bed. He feels like a king!

Aaron – we had a little “episode” this morning where he tried to tag me, but I diverted it with a cloth. Yeah for quick hands.

Kathi – we like the name too! We are definitely enjoying him

Jeremy – the only reason he is acting like he enjoys the paint job is because I told him he would get a spanking if he didn’t like it. He knows who’s in charge! :-)

Dear Brian and Casey,
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! What a doll!! It takes me back to 27 (?) years ago when I saw you,Brian the day you were born. Same red hair but my big question is, does he sneeze like you and your mom????? That’s how we knew who you were..as soon as we heard you sneezing! Congratulations to all. We’re SO happy for you!
Love,
The Fullers

Thanks! We are excited, too. No, he is not his father’s son when it comes to sneezing. He is only a one sneezer, so he must take after Casey. Everyone is doing relatively well. I just went back to work today which was hard as I was up until 12:00, back up from 2:00-4:00, and then up at 7:30 for work… I’m sure it will get better… either I’ll get used to it, or he’ll sleep a bit better. :-)
