Genesis 8-10
So, I have heard/read this story many times. I didn’t really read anything that I hadn’t comprehended in the past, so this was pretty straight forward. I have nothing to report.

I can’t imagine dropping everything I was doing to follow someone immediately. There was obviously something quite special about Jesus that made Simon Peter and Andrew stop fishing (which provided for their needs) and follow Him. James and John did the same thing. I wonder why Jesus didn’t call their father Zebedee. He was in the boat with James and John. I also wonder why He targeted the 12 that He did. Why were fisherman chosen?
Psalm 4:8
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
I just liked this verse. How wonderful is it to know that if you put your faith and trust in the Lord, you can sleep peacefully without a thought or care in the world. If only I could trust like this. How often do we lie down, sleepless?
