The Prestige - 2006-11-08 21:27

I was able to go on my first post-baby date with my wife tonight. Nana is in town watching Kylen, so we took advantage and went out to see The Prestige.
1. It is nice to get out with my wife and spend some time without a screaming baby (albeit it a little weird not to have said screaming reverberating in my ears).
b. The movie was great.
If you like magic at all, you’ll like the movie. If you don’t care for magic, there is a good chance you’ll still enjoy the movie. Its one of those, “How is everything working? Just wait and you’ll find out in the end” movies. I eventually understood the movie when I was out in the parking lot getting into my car. It’s amazing how much you miss when you don’t understand a little phrase at the end… Just a quick point, you will need to suspend belief for a bit in the movie (it isn’t all completely possible, but nonetheless a good movie). I enjoyed it more than The Illusionist even though that was a fine movie as well.
Also, if you would like to see Wolverine and Batman slugging it out magic-style and not in tights, this is the movie for you!
I love how it goes from 1 to b… haha… i can’t WAIT to see that movie. I just gotta find some time… word.
